DR KENNETH KAUNDA, the man fondly known for uniting Zambia by breaking tribal barriers, has raised a red flag regarding tribal sentiments that have recently dominated local newspaper headlines and airwaves. The man, largely credited for being the founding father of the nation, has instead asked Zambians - young and old - to embrace a practice of love and not hate and fights. He has immediately called for the proverbial ‘tribal knives’ to be buried so that unity of purpose and love can be restored once again in order to avoid negative ‘ethnicity’ in a country known by many as the last bastion of peace, unity and stability in the region and even the continent.
