DREAM CATCHER FOR DIANE 213 Found: Someone else’s dreams, 67 of them. It is a “Diane 213”she couldn’t bear to destroy “them” after all it was nights and nights of nocturnal insanity and multitasking! Each was recorded on a simple memo pad with faulty ball point pens, the kind that fail to work at first, black or blue and each sheet saved. They must have been important as she placed them in an odd bag and sent them out into the world where they landed heavy in my studio and lay for years. I’ve read them and piece together a frustrated would-be architect. I’m thinking she was dreaming in the 1950’s, and she was possible gender handicapped and becoming an “Interior Decorator” or maybe a Home Ec teacher. So, I’ve done both for her within Dream Catcher Diane 213, protecting her dreams with vintage fish hooks, and a strong cage , vintage bench and baby buggy wheels and a gentle breeze of a fan.
