A period of more persistent rain for a time early afternoon. Snow to 500m about North Canterbury and 600m about Kaikoura. Skies clearing late evening. CHRISTCHURCH Temperature High: 8 degrees Overnight Low: 1 degree Wind Direction: SW Rainfall: 3-5mm Details: Occasional rain, clearing by evening and fine spells developing. Frosty conditions likely overnight. Southwest breezes at times.
