DRIVE CHAT---FELIX WRITES TO US Bola, about a week ago, my boss handed me a letter terminating my appointment with the excuse that, my presence in the organization is becoming an increasing source of threat to the performance of his staff, the reputation of the organization and its survival. He indicated that, two of his most hardworking and dedicated staff have being at each others throats for some time now. In fact, Bola, these ladies once had an open fight in the office to the full glare of everybody. They were both suspended. They are back at work and the rift continues among them. My boss claims investigations have proven that, I am the reason the ladies fight. The ladies claim I am in a relationship with both of them which is very very untrue. Indeed Bola, I have been close to each of them at a point in time and again truth be told, I have dated both of them at separate times but never proposed to any of them and they both know we never had anything serious as a relationship. I still see both of them and relate normally with them. I do not know when I became a source of their rifts for which reason I am being sacked from work. As I write to you Bola, I am in a serious relationship and we are discussing marriage. How do I tell my lady I have been sacked because of two ladies in my office? Bola thinks the grounds for my dismissal are unfounded. My boss, I think might have ulterior motives and I have even asked that, he finds out from the ladies how committed I am to any of them but he will have none of that. Please bring this up for discussion among your listeners. Is this justifiable enough ground to terminate ones appointment? Are there any remedies at law for me? Again, even if indeed I am responsible for their rifts, how will my dismissal solve the problem? Rather shouldn’t he be changing their work schedules since they are on the same team? I need some answers Bola. Bola I thank God for drive chat because, I do not see how I could approach anyone in person and tell them that, my appointment has been terminated because of women in my office who claim I am dating them? Please help out.
