DS9S7E03 - Afterimage: Ezri-Dax enters the Bajoran shrine where Jadzia was killed. Worf is avoiding her. Starfleet Intelligence is keeping Garak very busy decoding Cardassian communications. Garak is experiencing claustrophobia attacks again. Starfleet cant really lose Garaks services right now. Sisko asks Dax to provide Garak counseling. Worf tells Dax he does not know her, nor does he want to. Sisko arranged to have Dax stay on as the Stations Counselor. Dax tells Bashir, if Worf hadnt come along Jadzia would have chosen him. Garak has another episode. Dax takes him to a holosuite and goes through a breathing exercise. Worf informs Bashir not to dishonor Jadzias memory and to stay away from Ezri. Garak tells Dax she cant presume to help him. She doesnt even know herself. She is not worthy of the name Dax. Dax gives her resignation from Starfleet to Sisko. He responds in a harsh manner. If she wants to go and hide. Who cares if Daxs 9th life is a waste. He told her she is not even worthy of her Starfleet uniform. OBrien tells Worf that by actually ignoring Ezri, he is dishonoring Jadzias memory. Dax goes to say goodbye to Garak and she discovered the cause of his attacks are because of all the death to Cardassians he is causing. Dax asks Sisko to cancel her resignation letter. Of course Sisko never sent it in. Worf convinces Ezri to stay on DS9.
