DU observes World Tourism Day ----------------------------------------- Dhaka University’s Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management organised various programmes on Friday to observe World Tourism Day. On the occasion, the department arranged daylong programmes including a seminar, a rally, a quiz and photo competitions on the university campus, said a press release. The daylong activities began with a rally with the slogan “Tourism is our future and we are tourism’s future” planned by Bangladesh Tourism Board. Later, a seminar was held at the conference hall of the department with Aktaruzzaman, CEO of Bangladesh Tourism Board, as the chief guest. Dr Mojib Uddin Ahmed, chairman of the tourism and hospitality management department, was the keynote speaker. A discussion on revising the department’s curriculum was held in the afternoon.
