DUMP DELOITTE! The Iowa Board of Regents is paying Deloitte Consulting, LLP $2.45 million to recommend massive cuts across the Regents Universities. Changes to academic programs and services at the University of Iowa could lower the quality of undergraduate education, damage the reputation of the university, and hurt the local economy. THE DELOITTE AUDIT IS A SHAM THE DELOITTE AUDIT IS A WA$TE OF TAXPAYER DOLLAR$ Why waste $2.45 million of Iowa taxpayers’ money on a contract with outside corporate consultants when the Universities already employ experts and pay millions to university administrators every year? THE DELOITTE AUDIT IS UNDEMOCRATIC Iowans expect fairness and a consultative process with decision making power vested in members of the university community. The Iowa Board of Regents is hiding behind corporate consultants to circumvent shared governance and impose cuts from the outside. The voices of the people most affected by this process - students, university faculty, graduate employees, staff, and community members - are not being heard.
