Da Minutes-June 20, 2013 About 25 minute into the meeting President Queen Dalyah shows up with her cocker spaniel (Higgins) in tow. The neck-tie gods must have been smiling down on me as they provided her and her cronies enough neck-ties to go around to hang themselves. She sat at the table with her dog on the leash as if it was the most natural thing to do with no apologies or explanation although the House Rules clearly states dogs are not permitted in the rec. areas. The BOD, RM and Property Manager also seem to not notice although the dog broke into several barking spells for a few minutes. After when it came to new business, she calmly explained that according to attorney Motooka, regarding non-BOD members being able to speak during the meeting, after being allowed only at the beginning; she said the attorney advised her in order to disallow non-BOD members to speak or ask question after the beginning, the BOD would have to vote on the motion for this to be implemented. She then asked if anybody wanted to move this motion, and true to life, her favorite lapdog, Lappy the brown nose pug, couldn’t get the words out his mouth to make the motion. Then another lapdog quickly seconded it, da queen ask all those approve to say aye and there was a thunderous Aye. Well to her credit, one BOD member, Jenn said, I oppose, then another Diane said she opposed too. Da queen quickly declared it’s 4-2, motion passed. This all in a record one minute, no muss, no fuss. Then there was talk of having townhall meetings which earlier was discussed to possibly have for the Painting of the building and whether we should change our TV and internet provider. As I was contemplating having a hernia operation soon and with the painting involving them to come onto our balcony which involved us having to move our furnitures and things inside so they could work, and also as my car is parked under the overhang, there would be days when I would have to move my car to avoid having paint or debris falling onto my car; I had quite a few questions I wanted to ask. As I start to ask about the dates, da queen quickly interjected with a “sir”, not as a sign of respect, but to remind me I had to shut up or get thrown out of the meeting. Not wanting to bear another scary letter from the attorney, I had to let it slide. So to recap 1) da queen proved my earlier charges of her propensity to completely thumb her nose at any Laws of Governance 2) she also helped proved the BOD has no character or spine to reprimand her for this flagrant snubbing of laws, as with the RM, the MA and the guard which has been an on going problem for the past 8 years. 3) She seemed to have felt free to use the treasury as her own personal piggy bank in consulting attorney Motooka, who I’m quite sure did not provide her with the advice for free, again something she has been doing for the past 8 years. 4) Her textbook railroading of the motion to restrict non-BOD to speak during the meeting also stood out like a sore thumb, but I imagine it was no big deal to the lapdog others. 5) Her motion of not allowing others to speak, of course was thought up especially for me, which I’m sure is no secret to anyone; however, what if another person who might happen to have a life and death situation, maybe with his heart, and needed to ask about the painting schedule; where’s the compassion there? In her continue quest to reduce the numbers of directors to 5, to assure, only her loyalist of loyal lapdogs be on the BOD, only help to assure she can easily revised laws of governance to her liking with minimal or no opposition and this is a danger with a person of no compassion or sense of respect for other’s rights or interests. I had sent a letter to accountant Phil Cuomo of Hawaiiana, with a cc. to Tom Taylor, MA, in reply to why I have stopped my payments for the last 3 months. Yesterday, I received a letter from Mr. Cuomo, that since I have not replied to his inquiry, my case would be turned over to the attorney. I did attempt to call him as advised in his letter, but had to jumped through hoops and never got through. Asked for his email address, which his clerk may have given me the wrong address as my email, was returned undeliveralabe. Then sent him the letter by postal at least a week ago. Again, clearly this company, as the reviewers on YELP comments, are just full of BS, it defies the imagination as to how come they aren’t all behind bars.
