Dad is starting chemo Friday... both tumors are follicular in his chest and on his thoracic vertebra so they feel they should respond well... and hopefully quickly to the chemo. They will run him for four weeks of chemo and then we will see where we are. I alerted them to his walking issues and they are going to do a spinal tap and make sure their isnt a tumor in his brain causing his legs to not work properly. If that is the case.... we wont be sitting as pretty with treatment(like anything is pretty when cancer is concerned, right?) But as for today.... little Averett and his smile has again, been dads good luck charm. We got as best news as we could get for now(outside of him being cancer free, that is) Keep the prayers and well wishes coming! :) And Averett had all of his fans in the chemo ward fawning all over him.... my dads chest puffed out being so proud of his handsome grandson. Averett was laughing and goo-gooing at all the nurses and patients like he always does there... and they just eat it up. They are so good to my dad and my little man. They beg me to bring him back because he makes the mood there so much more up beat. Its hard to make people in so much pain and misery smile and laugh..... but for my sweet, sweet, boy...its a piece of cake :)
