While co-host on Channel Nines The Today Show, Lisa Wilkinson, interviewed John and Jayne Cornwill who used gender selection to have their baby girl, Emmerson, but during their chat, the seven-month-old got quite restless. This prompted the 40-year-old anchor to swoop in and cradle the baby and his magic touch proved to hush the bub as John told Daily Mail Australia that he thought Karls actions were fantastic. Emmerson took to Karl incredibly well and smiled as he blew raspberry kisses to amuse her while she tucked her head into his chest. We were more than happy for him to play the surrogate Uncle, John told DMA. Lisa jokingly warned the parents that Karl loves a bit of a raspberry blow. You may not get her back again, she teased. The baby was so amused by the journalist that she clung on to him as he introduced the next segment, forcing him to pause what he was saying and again blow kisses.
