Dads are complicated. At least mine was. I think maybe today, dads might be less complicated because it’s OK for them to be emotional and sentimental, and even act as the primary caregiver to their children. Dads aren’t in the background quite as much as they used to be, and my 20-something kids have an easier time relating to and figuring out their dad than I did with mine. I asked them why they loved their father. Here’s what they said: “My dad is the best dad on the planet because he is the best role model for a parent, a significant other to his partner, and a successful hard worker. I can count on him for anything; he motivates me to always be more successful than I already am, and I know he’ll be there helping me every step of the way.” this is for my special daddy . i miss and love you very much Buce Folger . hope to see you soon and make those special memories. i love you daddy .
