Dads cousins from Hadley, Indiana. Nan, Bernice, Mary and Helen Grooms. Their graves are in the New Winchester Cemetery along with their parents and Dads parents, and his sister, Lleana who died of consumption when she was 13 and attending Old Shakerag School with Dad and his brother, Frank. I heard so many stories of his taking these girls to church socials with Frank and squiring them around on buggy rides to Danville and through the countryside. We went every year on Memorial Day and took bouquets to all the cemeteries where Moms and Dads folks were buried and I walked on these girls graves for years with Mom and Dad, without knowing they were buried there and that three of them had died before they were 20 years old. When I finally found this picture, it made me cry. They are so beautiful and full of life.
