So i go to the dryer to get my nice warm dry clothes out to fold them and what do i get??? Wet cold clothes??!?!?!?! So I go to good old google to search for help to find out what might be the problem.... Check for continuity on the things that wires go to to make the element work. See my uploaded photos... continuity good. Check continuity of the element..... No continuity... Bad element.... All appliance parts stores closed till monday.... What to do?????? I disassemble the element housing and clean out all the lint. I inspect the element and sure enough there is a break. My mind starts contemplating various paths of action..... A wirenut will melt and probably catch fire.... Electrical tape same outcome... All paths seem to lead to meltdown and fire..... Remember K.I.S.S.? No not the Kings in satans service.... Keep It Simple Stupid.... What if I took a pair of pliers and twisted the broken ends together? I see no meltdown or fire to this scenario..... Guess what???? It worked.!!! My unmentionables are drying as we speak and towels are next. I will get the element on Monday and refurbish by dryer back to like new but used.... Things to do on the weekend.......
