The situation with the lungs is bad, but just how bad compared to a few years ago is the question, since he is not with his own doctor at home and the docs here have no basis for comparison. But the pulmonary specialist here said he needs surgery (years ago in NC he was told surgery would be dangerous). Also, he may have an infected heart valve. Hes a mess, but hes in good spirits and is eating, so thats good.
