Daffodil Day… I have worn my Daffodil Pin today in support of the Cancer Council and cancer research and awareness. It has been a time to reflect on my own cancer experience 14 years ago and how I am grateful to have survived. I can barely even type the words because by not talking about it, creates the illusion that it never happened. But it did and I am here today… my scar is my story and I carry it as a reminder of how fragile life is. I have also taken time to reflect on the memory of people I have known who have recently died as a result of cancer. I have felt it deeply as some of my family members have experienced being diagnosed with the disease in recent months. A reflective day today…
