Daffodil International University organized Certificate Awarding Ceremony at DIU Auditorium today on September 13, 2014 for the DIU students, who attended Asia Summer Program - 2014 at University Malaysia Perlis ( UniMAP), Malaysia. Her Excellency Madam Norlin binti Othma, High Commissioner of Malaysia for the People’s Republic of Bangladesh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University and Daffodil Group was present as the Guest Honour. Presided over by Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University the function was addressed by Prof. Dr. Engr. A K M Fazlul Hoque,Registrar and Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director (International Affairs). A video presentation was displayed by Mr. Syed Raihan-Ul-Islam, Officer, International Affairs. Among the participants of Asia Summer Program Nowrin Nueri Esha of English Department and Syed Rasheduzaman of BBA Program shared their experience at Asia Summer Program 2014. Her Excellency Madam Norlin binti Othma said, the relationship and cooperation between Korea and Bangladesh will be more strengthen in near future. Through this program DIU students got an opportunity to learn experience of cross cultural communication, personal soft skill development, Confidence building, Career enhancement as well as mutual friendship among the participating countries, she added. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan in his address informed that more than 50 students will get the opportunity to participate in next Asia Summer Program to be held in Japan. Daffodil International University will organize a national summer camp in Bangladesh in 2015 in collaboration with Jahangirnagar University and participants from other public and private universities of Bangladesh, he added. Later Her Excellency Madam Norlin binti Othma handed over the certificates among the participants. It is reported that 38 DIU students and teachers participated a credit-based program offering innovative prospect of Asia titled Asian Summer Program (ASP) 2014 at University Malaysai Perlis ( UniMAP), Malaysia held from August 05-25,2014.
