Daily Armour Devotional - 27th August By: Pst Sunday Bankole DEALING WITH ABNORMALITIES IN SPIRITUAL LIFE -2 “Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord” - Rom 12:11 Today, we shall analyze various abnormalities that can pose hindrances to the believer’s spiritual sanity. Weight on the spirit man: the devil can place a heavy yoke upon the spirit man in order to weigh it down and make it weak. Heb. 12:1 states “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”. There are some factors that can plague the spirit man and make it malfunction or even die totally. Some of them are known as weights because they cast unnecessary burden and unease upon the spirit. These weights may not be outright sin but they can lead to sin e.g. fear, doubt, anger/strife, irritation, unforgiveness, sadness/depression etc. Whatever will constitute weight upon your spirit man should be done away with. Blockage of the spirit: the devil can shoot arrows to afflict one’s spirit. A man whose soul and body is afflicted cannot flow in the spirit. When the soul and body cannot function well, the spirit will not be able to flow effectively. Let your spirit be free from every satanic blockage. PRAYER POINTS •Every weight the enemy has placed upon my spirit be destroyed in Jesus name. •Every work of the flesh that is pressing my spirit down, I command you right now to lose your hold. •Every yoke of sin that is weighing my spirit down be broken today in Jesus name. •Every satanic power that is afflicting my soul in order to block my spirit lose your hold in Jesus name. •Every arrow of evil thought shot against my soul in order to block my soul, be uprooted in Jesus name.
