Daily Bible 2015 23 Fri Jan Feeding Four Thousand People [ Mark 8:1 - 8:13 ] (Hymm198) Jesus fed the crowd twice (6:31-44; 8:10). He fed the Jews with five loaves and two fish, But in today’s text, Jesus fed the Gentiles with seven loaves and a few fish. 사천 명을 먹이시다 예수님은 두 번에 걸쳐 무리를 먹이셨는데(6:31-44; 8:10), 오병이어로 먹이신 사람들은 유대인이었고, 오늘 본문에서 칠병이어로 먹이신 사람들은 이방인이었습니다. Summing up 1. During those days another large crowd gathered. Since they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said, 2. I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. 3. If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some of them have come a long distance. 4. His disciples answered, But where in this remote place can anyone get enough bread to feed them? 5. How many loaves do you have? Jesus asked. Seven, they replied. 6. He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When he had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people, and they did so. 7. They had a few small fish as well; he gave thanks for them also and told the disciples to distribute them. 8. The people ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 9. About four thousand men were present. And having sent them away, 10. he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha. 11. The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven. 12. He sighed deeply and said, Why does this generation ask for a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to it. 13. Then he left them, got back into the boat and crossed to the other side. 1. 그 무렵에 또 큰 무리가 있어 먹을 것이 없는지라 예수께서 제자들을 불러 이르시되 2. 내가 무리를 불쌍히 여기노라 그들이 나와 함께 있은 지 이미 사흘이 지났으나 먹을 것이 없도다 3. 만일 내가 그들을 굶겨 집으로 보내면 길에서 기진하리라 그 중에는 멀리서 온 사람들도 있느니라 4. 제자들이 대답하되 이 광야 어디서 떡을 얻어 이 사람들로 배부르게 할 수 있으리이까 5. 예수께서 물으시되 너희에게 떡 몇 개나 있느냐 이르되 일곱이로소이다 하거늘 6. 예수께서 무리를 명하여 땅에 앉게 하시고 떡 일곱 개를 가지사 축사하시고 떼어 제자들에게 주어 나누어 주게 하시니 제자들이 무리에게 나누어 주더라 7. 또 작은 생선 두어 마리가 있는지라 이에 축복하시고 명하사 이것도 나누어 주게 하시니 8. 배불리 먹고 남은 조각 일곱 광주리를 거두었으며 9. 사람은 약 사천 명이었더라 예수께서 그들을 흩어 보내시고 10. 곧 제자들과 함께 배에 오르사 달마누다 지방으로 가시니라 11. ○바리새인들이 나와서 예수를 힐난하며 그를 시험하여 하늘로부터 오는 표적을 구하거늘 12. 예수께서 마음속으로 깊이 탄식하시며 이르시되 어찌하여 이 세대가 표적을 구하느냐 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이 세대에 표적을 주지 아니하리라 하시고 13. 그들을 떠나 다시 배에 올라 건너편으로 가시니라 Who is God like? Thinking & Understanding Who is Jesus? Vv. 6-10 Jesus prepared an abundant feast in the desolate wilderness with seven loaves and a few fish. In particular, this feast was for the Gentiles; Jesus fed them as equal to the Jews. This showed that Jesus was the Savior who would give the kingdom of God to the Gentiles as well as to the Jews. 예수님은 칠병이어로 황량한 광야에서 풍성한 잔치를 배설해주셨습니다. 특별히 이번 잔치는 이방인들을 위한 것으로, 그들도 공평하게 먹여주셨습니다. 예수님이 유대인뿐만 아니라 이방인에게도 하나님 나라의 풍성한 꼴을 먹여주시는 구세주라는 사실이 드러난 것입니다. Vv. 11-13 Jesus sighed deeply toward the Pharisees who sought a sign, but he refused to show them any sign. They did not realize who Jesus was, in spite of witnessing so many miracles Jesus had shown. They were wicked people who constantly tried to test Jesus. Let’s look at ourselves and see if we also do not believe, despite the fact that the Lord has poured out the grace of his Word to us every day. Have we sought signs elsewhere? 예수님은 표적을 구하는 바리새인들을 향해 깊이 탄식하시며 표적 행하기를 거절하셨습니다. 그들은 예수님이 행하신 수많은 기적을 보고도 예수님이 어떤 분인지 깨닫지 못하고, 끊임없이 예수님을 시험하려 드는 완악한 자들이었습니다. 혹시 우리도 날마다 주님이 베푸시는 말씀의 놀라운 은혜 속에 살면서도 여전히 믿지 못하고, 다른 표적을 구하진 않습니까? Thinking & Understanding This time, in the Gentile region, Jesus fed a large crowd with seven loaves and a few fish. This shows that Jesus is not only the Savior of the Jews, but also the Savior of the Gentiles (vv. 1-10). 예수님이 이번에는 이방인 지역에서 빵 일곱 개와 작은 생선 두 마리로 수많은 사람을 먹이셨습니다. 이 사건은 예수님이 유대인의 구세주일 뿐만 아니라 이방인의 구세주도 되신다는 사실을 보여줍니다(1-10절). The Pharisees came to Jesus and provoked Jesus to prove that he was the prophet God had sent with a sign. But Jesus knew that they were not seeking a sign to believe, so he did not listen to their request (vv. 11-13). 바리새인들이 예수님을 찾아와서 예수님이 참으로 하나님이 보내신 예언자라면 그 표징을 보여 달라고 시비를 걸었습니다. 예수님은 그들이 믿으려고 표징을 구하는 것이 아님을 아셨기에 그들의 요구를 들어주지 않으셨습니다(11-13절). What lesson is God teaching me? Prayer Thank you, God, for the signs you have shown us in your word. Help us to share this grace with others.
