Daily Forecast - Tuesday, September 9, 2014 Good morning. Another dreary day is expected for the region as we continue to deal with a pesky low pressure system to our southeast. Low pressure systems have a counter-clockwise flow around the center therefore our winds for today will be out of the east. When you get an easterly wind this is typically known as an onshore flow. This time of year ocean temps are still typically cooler than land temps. Add this with Atlantic moisture and breezy winds you get raw and dreary day. Okay, now onto todays weather. Winds will be out of the east today and could be a bit blustery at times. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with highs only in the mid 70s. Isolated showers will be possible throughout the day (especially in southern parts of the state). Lows tonight in the mid to upper 50s are expected. If you felt cold yesterday you probably would want to bring a light jacket or long sleeved shirt with you this morning. Have a great day everyone!
