Daily Horror Overdose #16 Today I decided to take a bite out of the zombie theme again. Gail and I have been having date night all week, and weve watched Night of the Creeps, the Birth of the Dead documentary, the Doc of the Dead documentary, and just last night, we watched Warm Bodies. Weve had a steady influx of zombie lore in our home so far, but were still not caught up with The Walking Dead, because honestly, there are other zombie tales out there. With that being said, do not any of you feel you have any right to spoil whats happening this Season 5 for us! After watching Warm Bodies, it made me recall todays O.D. When I first heard todays song on WFNX (remember that station?), I felt it was about a subject matter I know very well! I waited for the full album to come out, and was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed the full lp, even though it did not have any other horror themed tracks. Not long after Metric released their record, Zombieland came out and featured Gold Guns Girls off the same album instead of Help Im Alive. Oh, the irony! Also: Warm Bodies is totally worth seeing. It puts a nice little spin on zombie lore that I didnt find offensive to the genre, if anyone cares. It dark enough, and cute enough to snuggle up with your special people.
