Builder’s Club is open to all 7th and 8th Grade students who would like to join our club. Builder’s Club is a great way to make new friends and help our school and community.We are having our first meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 7th in Mrs. Wells Port. 55 from 2:00-2:30 P.M. Our first fundraiser will be Trick or Treat for U.N.I.C.E.F. Make plans to attend. Hope you see you there! All 7-12th grade Girls interested in trying out for basketball. There will be a prospective players meeting on Monday October 6th at 4:30 in the new gym.k Girls soccer tryouts will be on Monday, October 6 at Twin Lakes Park starting at 4:00 pm. All players must be present on that day, unless they participate on a fall sports team. Students must have all required paperwork turned in, including their physical, in order to try out. There will be a girls soccer meeting in Mrs. Looses classroom on Thursday morning at 7:05 am. If you are unable to make it to the meeting, you can stop by Mrs. Looses classroom to get information about girls soccer. Attention all 8th grade girls: Miss Junior High Application and paper work is due to Mrs. Dickinson on Monday, October 6. Homecoming Dance Contracts are available in the Front Office or Coach Morford’s room. A contract must be completed before ticket can be purchased. Tickets will be on sale October 7th – 14th in lunches or Coach Morford’s room. $10/each There will be a Key Club meeting on Friday, October 3rd in Mrs. Wachas room. The agenda for the meeting will include upcoming service projects, T-shirt design, and the homecoming float. If there are any 11th graders that have not taken the test and are interested for the reason you have already said they must see Guidance or Mrs. Swartzwelder, the cost is $14.00 for and 11th grader and is due upon registering. Boys varsity Soccer try outs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday October 13, 14,16, 2014 Jacksonville National College Fair on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Prime F. Osborn Convention Center. The fair is sponsored by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and will be attended by representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities spanning from Hawaii to Maine and even Bond University in Queensland, Australia. The event is free and open to the public. Yearbook news: Last day for senior pictures is 10/15/14 in the café you may sign up for an appointment time on the poster in the blue wing. (Coming Soon) Underclass make-up pictures will be on 10/15/14 in the café during English classes. Reserve your Senior ads for the yearbook by 11/20/14 with Mrs. Qualls in RM#803 Art. The next regular drama club meeting will be Thursday from 2-3. Drama Club will meet regularly on Thursdays and is open to all students 7-12. Box Tops!!!!!! Turn in Box Tops to help our school. Box Tops can be turned in to portable 29/30. This year we will be giving away free breakfast to the first period who turns in the most box tops. Also, we will be giving away a laptop/tablet to the student who turns in the most boxtops. Make sure to put your name on the bag and first period teacher on the envelope or bag with the boxtops when you turn them in. This contest will run all year. 1800 273 TALK (8255) is for students who may need someone to talk to as well as reminder about the Students Concerns box right outside the lunchroom doors. There are trash cans on campus to recycle cans and water bottles in the blue wing near the cafeteria and in the science wing in front of Ms Hovsepian’s room This helps save our planet! Students should refrain from throwing other trash items in those cans.
