Damara, I was not sure what I would say when you graduated from Westernaires. It has been a wonderful adventure, and I have mixed feelings on it all. I am so proud of the young lady you have become over the past 8 years. You have grown up before my eyes, and have become an outstanding rider. From the first day you were in Westernaires, you said you wanted to make Red Team, have perfect attendance, and wanting to carry The American Flag during the National Anthem, and ride outside propeller in Liberty. You achieved all those goals and so many more. Your dedication during all of this is more than anyone else I know. There have been some bad times, but you perserveered through all of them, from 3 knee surgeries, broken foot, using another horse for Interclub (taking 3rd over all on a horse you never been on before). You have proven to everyone that you are extremely strong in mind and body over the years. The friendships you have made will carry with you the rest of your life. I cannot pick out any one moment that makes me the proudest, because all of your achievements make me very proud of you. You have shown that you can ride any horse they put you on, no matter what they did, you owned them all. When Buck left you, it was probably the hardest time for you to deal with such a loss, yet you moved on like the strong woman you are. I know as do you that he never really left you, he just moved on so that he could watch and take care of you from above. He is and will always be with you each and every time you climb on a horse, as you found out during Stock Show. As you now move forward with your next chapter in life, take with you all the things that you learned, and use them as you move on in life. I know that you will succeed in whatever you do, no matter what you do. Remember that I love you so so much, and you are such a bright and caring person. Remember who you are and where you came from and they sky is the limit. Love you, Daddy.
