Damn, my teacher was right, I should go into law. My response to Amanda at Bold Progressives regarding Citibank writing 70 lines of a bill allowing for banks to (once again) give high risk loans. [See comments for the email] .............. I can believe it passed. Its a scam. A big scam. Banks give loans to people they know cannot afford to keep up with them. Those people get a home and take out several more loans on it. They make good for awhile on the loans, but then something happens and kaboom! they cant pay. The banks then evict the tenants and claim the money as a loss, while turning around and reselling/loaning to a new victim. The losses still show on the books, even if the house is bought and paid for, and the bank in question claims it is in danger of chapter 11 bankruptcy, which is detrimental to its customers yes, but imagine if several large national banks do this at the same time. Because of the national fiduciary crisis this causes, the federal government allows this (see Clinton and George Dubyas administrations getting paid off by Wall Street and big banks) and tax payers who are not even able to pay rent and bills due to the lackluster minimum wage get the bill. These are the same people coincidentally who are being given the loans to begin with. Follow the money my friend. Always follow the money. What we need from you is a list of politicians who voted in favor of this please. I think it is past time to start holding politicians accountable personally through class action lawsuits based on intent to defraud (among many other civil torte violations). Thank you for all your hard work! Sincerely and in Solidarity, Rilriia Kilurden
