Daniel Morcombes killer Brett Peter Cowan was sentenced for 20 yrs jail today for the murder of poor innocent Daniel Morcombe Foundation (official page) Everyone is talking about the killer and what scum he is (and he is). But what about Judge Dean Mildren from the Northern Territory Supreme Court who let this same criminal end up serving 3.5 yrs for raping and bashing a 6 yr old boy some years earlier in a Northern Territory caravan park. The police described finding the boy with such horrific injuries they thought he had been hit by a car. Why should Judge Mildren not stand trial? Should Judge Mildren have blood on his hands? If Judge Mildren had sentenced Cowan appropriately would Daniel still be alive today? Why arent we talking about Judge Mildren as well as Cowan? Shame on you Judge Mildren. Shame. May you pay for this somehow, someday as well. I hope Daniels parents find some kind of closure today. Being a parent myself I can only imagine the endless pain one must feel loosing a child.
