Daniel served as a prophet to the exiles in Babylon from 605-536 B.C. The people of that time ..the people of Judah, they were captives in a strange land, feeling Hopeless. Daniel chapter one and on: How many today are also walking in a strange land .. Christians who are being taken captive..in strange and foreign lands... Christians in their very own land...Christians in their very own homes, workplaces, family? The Main message of Daniel is : God is sovereign over all human history...yes included mine and yours beloved. Sovereign over ,Past,present,and the future!!! The important message of Daniel is: Like Daniel , Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, we to should be concerned about our present!!They did not spend their time wondering on their future events as much as the present time!!Future events , as we read of their faithfulness, will depend on our Faithfulness in the present!!Beloveds let us spend more and more time now in the present, learning how we should be living!!! Verse 8 we read that Daniel refused , determined not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to him by the King!! This took Faith in His day!! Take a look at His story and of the three, look at it as in Our day, your day today, see if there may be anything that may be defiling your body, your walk with the Spirit of God inside you..We have the written word of God to guide us today unlike in Daniels day!! Our Faith can cause us to walk through 10 furnaces of fire and heated much much higher then it was for the 3!!! Jesus is in us.. and walking with us through that fire that is testing Your Faith... Just live it!!!!!!!!!! Daniel 3:26 [ Nebuchadnezzar Praises God ] Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, saying, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here.” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego came from the midst of the fire.
