Daniela, you gave a marvelous talk at church today. thank you, thank you, thank you! thank you, also, Marjorie for putting this on youtube so I could see it. Daniela is so right--we EACH have gifts to share with the St. Stephens Community. We already have wonderful ministries in place--yes, each gift is recognized as a ministry to give to God and to each other. In time, we may even have more. There is NO limit to what we can do together at St. Stephens. This is an exciting time for us to put our gifts and ideas together so we can carry out what our spiritual lives and community lives need to make this journey so much more meaningful and exciting. Heads--Hearts--Hands--one cannot exist without the other. We are the Body of Christ and we are witnesses to this Love that God has for each and every one of us. No one is more special, more powerful, or more important--we all live in equality. St. Stephens is a community already filled with love and imagination and wonder. I have only 4 more Sundays away from being reunited with all of you. Danielas words have inspired me even more to become your vicar and to join with you in our service to God and to each other. I may have the funny-looking collar, but I am no different than anyone at St. Stephens. I share the desire to make St. Stephens an even more vibrant and exciting place to worship together than it already is.. May you all take care of each other and be well. With love, Mary+
