Danielle set up a display at Gifts that Give Hope: Lancasters - TopicsExpress

Danielle set up a display at Gifts that Give Hope: Lancasters Alternative Gift Fair to teach kids, and some parents, about honey bees. She spent six hours in the Childrens Activities room talking about bees and giving honey samples. She hauled in a sample hive, her bee suit, tools, honeycomb, and created two big displays for this event. Im proud of my little queen bee for doing this with no thought of payment or even a chance of selling anything. She just wanted to teach kids about honey bees. Besides the fun and educational things for kids to do, the rest of the fair was populated with charities looking for donations or for you to purchase a gift that benefited their charity, such as paper bead bracelets and necklaces made by African women. Luckily it also had my favorite Puerto Rican food vendor there so I could get P.R. style slow cooked pork with rice and beans for lunch. Ive purchased this same meal from the same vendor in four different festivals and fairs so far and it was delicious every time. I wish she had a restaurant in addition to the catering and festival work she does. It is SO good.
