Dara Shikoh Library, Lothian Road, Near Kashmere Gate, Delhi Built in 1637 this was originally the library of Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Emperor Shahjahan. It was later the residence of Ali Mardan Khan, Mughal Viceroy of Punjab and later of David Ochterlony, the first British Resident. At present it is the office of Dept of Archaeology, Govt of NCT of Delhi Second time around, you are finally lucky to see the Dara Shikoh Library. You sweet talk your way inside the campus as it is closed on Sundays, but are shooed off by the supervisor who drops in a little later. By that time the photos are all in the camera. Story that repeats every weekend.
