Date: Tue, 2014-07-22 If America is ever to achieve its so-called post racial moment, it must first rid once and for all the countrys most recognized plantation and thats Washington, DC. The symbol of the White House and the plantation surrounding the District of Columbia is and has always been the elephant in the room that just wont go away. Now is the time to expose the elephant for the gorilla that it is. Washington, DCs population is over 80% black and has been since its beginning. And until President Obama and his family resided in Americas Tara (the plantation from Gone With the Wind), Washington, DC has been a stain and a sham when it comes to the worst example of taxation without representation. Home rule for Washington, DC is long overdue. Congress has imposed upon DCs citizens the worst ever form of rule and government that America has ever seen. Most of America is clueless to this shameful reality because they think that the people who live in the nations capital are living under the same form of government that their state and local municipalities live under. Washington, DC has no voting representative in the Senate or the Congress. Their representative is for all intense purpose the spook who sits by the door. I grew up in DC and I despised this form of rule and government, because every day I lived there I felt like I was a slave living on the plantation. And I am willing to bet you that the rest of the people living there feel the same way. Its a psychological and subconscious form of post traumatic slave syndrome. Its time for America to wash its hands and come clean for Democracys sake. After that, time to move on to the other slave holdings known as Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam.
