Dave Hoenig, How was your Thanksgiving? BEST EVER. Usually I have dinner with my friends the Zinn family who live down the street from me in Oxnard. This year though I was invited by two of my old friends. I have know them so long we all went to Banna School. Do you guys remember the Banna Braves? These two friends are JESS FINDER AND JOHN SULLIVAN. They came to visit no long ago on their way home from a trip to Oregon. So that is when they invited me to dinner and a couple of days visit. To my surprise John came all the way from Surf City alone and picked my fat butt up and drove me over to their house. That is 76 miles to you and me. I was treated like royalty. My feet did not even have time to hit the floor before someone was asking what they could get for me, how could they help, did I want anything. These men were not my butlers, but they sure were my friends. I hope you all can find friends like these. I was only there for a couple of days, but I will have a life time of memories. Jess said on facebook while I was there Eat it like you stole it. I might have stolen the turkey but instead they bought an Osterich. I could not have lifted it after dinner that was for sure. That turkey was on steroids it weighed over 22 pounds. Talk about stuffing, red potatoes, cranberries, and Jesss daughter made an apple pie from scratch. That pie was a carnival blue ribbon winner. Good going Taylore. His daughter Melanie was there too. Great job with the girls/ladies Jess. That is something you can be proud of. For the entiretime I was there I had everything I wanted except for a larger capacity stomach, and that wasnt from the lack of trying to make it bigger either. My greates thanks to my friends Jess and John. To top everything off the three of us came home in Jesss new red truck with him at the helm. Best wishes to you guys.
