Davey Jackson Chapter was represented by Chapter Regent, Geraldine Dellenback at the 122nd NSDAR Continental Congress in Washington, DC. Wyoming was awarded 2 first place awards: American Heritage and Constitution Week. Also attending were: Mary Agnes Macaleenan, State Regent, pages: Erin Stoesz and Lindsey Taylor (Groves). Kandace Taylor, State Lineage Chairman, served as the Marshall. Total registration was: 3,831. President General Lynn Forney Young was elected along with her chosen team of National Officers. Past State Regent, V. Vaughn Brewer Peterson (Mrs. Robert) who died in Feb. 2013, was honored at the Memorial Service held at Constitution Hall on June 30. The service was very moving. During the past year, 3, 284 DAR members have died. Each State was named and the numbers of deceased members were read as the members of the state stood in silence. The installation Ceremony was also formal and elegant. Each new State Regent and Vice Regent was given her sash of office. The oath of office was given by former Vice President General, Beverly Woodruff Jensen. Our new President General, Lynn Formey Young, was sworn in by Chaplain Laura Marcella Reid. The flags of the United States , DAR and each of the states and Units Overseas were retired until the 123rd Continental Congress.
