David Tennant, a.k.a. the 10th incarnation of Doctor Who, did an excellent job in a 2012/2013 BBC series called Broadchurch. It was superb drama. It was shown in the U.S. on various media platforms and was very well received. It was so well received that FOX dumbed it down for us and rebranded it as Gracepoint for the 2014 fall season. The plot line and the main actor remain intact, but gone are the accents so foriegn to our ears (really?). Gone is the size 10, average looking sidekick (replaced by a size 2 blonde bombshell). David Tennant is back, but theyve neutered his surliness and made him use an American Accent. Are we so thick that we cant enjoy a BBC drama here? Shame on FOX.
