Day -2 was a quiet day. No vomit, but no food either. Only 2 popsicles and 10 oz of fluids. Will be putting in a feeding tube in the morning. If platelets are not above 50, she will receive platelets prior to the procedure. Her WBC went up, Hemoglobin remains stable, and platelets went down. Maybe this is the sign that the blood will be dropping. Physical therapy came in to see her and lets just say that it is a good thing that her therapist is a good natured person. Teacher is coming tomorrow. Have a good plan in place for her for school. Chemo is now completely finished. She finished it around 6 am this morning. Started a new anti-rejection med that she will continue indefinitely. Received the second dose of the rabbit med today. One more dose and she will be done with this med. Tolerated it very well. Had to change her fluids to fluids without sugar. Raised her sugar level a lil too high. Curious to see blood levels in the morning. The beads that she earned: Overnight, physical therapy visit, 3 infusions (anti-rejection meds x 2, heparin x 1), 2 antibiotic beads. There may be more, but we are unsure at this moment. Have to verify if she gets a bead for all her anti-nausea meds. If so, she will get 12 for these meds today. One every 2 hours. Please remember to wear either your Karing for Kenzie shirts or a red shirt on Wednesday. The red represents both her PNH and the bone marrow transplant. Dont forget to take and post pics on here for her to see all the support. You would be surprised by the little things that can lift you up when all you see is these four walls day in and day out. Thank you all for your support in all way. May God bless you all. Hope that you have a blessed Tuesday!
