Day -3 Didn’t sleep much last night, the staff was either checking my vitals or, because of all the fluids they are giving me I was getting up for other reasons. But today was a new day. There was a little scare that I might have developed another blood clot but it was check out and I don’t have one. After having 4 days of Chemo Therapy, fatigue is starting to creep in. They want us to walk every day. Yesterday, I walked about 11 laps around the unit, this morning 6 laps, and this afternoon 4 laps that took twice as long as the 6 laps I walked this morning. None of this is unexpected; if it were not happening something would be wrong. … and I will get worse before I get better. I did get to go to group physical therapy today. It is sort of like the old PBS show sit and be fit. It’s an hour of bending, stretching and exercise, mostly seated in a chair. We can’t be too mobile because all the participants, except the therapist, are attached to a large IV pole. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope it is not an oncoming train. ;-)
