Day -4..... Third day of chemo. I met a young lady while waiting for the elevator here on the 8th floor this morning. A person on the 8th floor is under perilous circumstances unless you are a worker in the medical field. After exchanging niceties, she told me about her husband. He had been mowing the lawn last week and felt extremely tired. Tired to the point where he went to the doctor and was diagnosed with leukemia. He is 33 years old and they have a 3 year old daughter. She was a total stranger but we gave each other a hug like we had known each other our entire lives. I have traveled a portion of the road she is headed on and I just wanted to cry. Shelly has been feeling very tired. We were told today that it is only going to get worse. She is still exercising everyday and trying to eat well. She is my superhero.
