Day -5 We havent ran away....yet..lol No things are pretty good.. Calvin is finally sleeping in his crib... After 3 nights and all day time naps in his stroller he is FINALLY settling in the crib.. Mind you, I get him blankets from the warmer every couple hours but they are so cozy and Im pretty sure he is cold with his chemo so the blankets are helping... Calvin finished 16 rounds of chemo yesterday.. No side effects and no extra meds needed for any other issues! So praise God for that.. He really is a strong boy and fighting this like a champ.. Now today he started a new chemo which is only once a day but a much stronger one.. Today Dalton, Nana and myself ran out to get a few things and have a small break and calvin had a really rough time with Daddy.. After his chemo he wasnt feeling too well and just lost it.. Wouldnt settle and actually made himself turn a little blue.. Nurse called in the doc to make sure all was good.. They werent sure if he wasnt feeling well or if it was mama was gone... So needless to say, I came back and was no longer allowed out of his sight... So now as he doesnt feel himself, Im not quite sure how much Im be able to get away... Makes it hard for me but as any of us know as a parent, we will do what we have to do for our children... The next few nights are gonna be tough as Calvins diaper has to be changed every 2 hours because of the chemo he is on and his urine has to be checked for blood.... Yeah us! Im tired just thinking about it.. Poor guy too... When hes asleep he hates to be woken up.. Just as we all do, really.. Nana has been down helping the last couple of days and has allowed me and Terry to spend some nice time with Dalton and now tonight Nana took him home to her place for a sleep over for the very first time!! Good luck with that Nan Nan..!! And thank you for your support.. We are allowed a 3rd person as support for Calvin so of course nana is the one and we couldnt be doing this without her... She also can stay at the RMH while she is here with us so thats great.. So thanks Nana.. Xoxox Not much else new really... It was kinda a quite day and you can really tell its the weekend around this hospital its like a ghost town.. When I go down for my coffee on week days, I almost get trampled with Calvin and his IV pole... Today I was the only one there.. LOL... Anyways thanks again for your prayers and support.. It means a lot to each one of us.. This journey we are on is going to start to get tougher but with the grace of God and love from you all, we will get through.. We will carry this through to the end and take our sweet boys home where we will not take another thing in life for granted.. Life is not about the stuff its about relationships, love and good health.. If you have these things, you are very very wealthy... Remember that my friends, things can be taken away in a heart beat but if you have your relationships left, you have everything.. Life is truly too short, have no regrets in life..
