Day -8: Sam did much better today with nausea and overall discomfort. He slept much of the day away under many anti-nausea meds. Although he did get in some valuable video game time with Dad :) We decided to move forward with the NJ tube and it will be placed tomorrow mid-late morning. We feel like this is the right decision for him at this time. I know there is a lot going on in the Super Sam world right now, but why not have one more event! I had asked Sam about the idea of having a drive for his 100 days of transplant, a way to focus on others while providing a project to focus on and he was immediately on board. When I asked him wanted to do he said he wanted the other kids to be comfortable. I asked what makes him comfortable and he named off his stuffed animals, his favorite blankets and a few movies. These all made perfect sense to me because they do provide so much comfort to him. Here is a copy of the flyer for the drive which will officially start this Wednesday July 23rd and run to November 1st = 100 days of transplant isolation. Please consider donating, being a drop off location and or sharing the flyer to gain as much help to reach 100 comfort packs to be distributed to other young warriors who are currently fighting and the new diagnosis who are struggling to find comfort in a hospital room. Thank you in advance!
