Manual muscle testing with a light pressure to assess the availability of a neural pathway is crucial in determining movement dysfunction. 3. Whether a muscle is facilitated or inhibited depends on the relationship in which it is involved. 4. Students were amazed to find out how many of their muscle tests failed. This is not about strength, but rather about function. 5. When muscle testing pay attention to what the whole body is doing. If you can see the compensations, you know where to go to treat.
