Day 1 of the 5 Day Music Challenge: I got nominated by my former editor Christine Mader to post a song a day for the next five days. Glad to do this - as I even have a Pinterest Board where I occasionally post songs of the day - pinterest/amucomm/song-of-the-day/ Clay Blaker - The Only Thing I Have Left Many of you may know this song either in the version by George Strait or Tim McGraw - but it was originally written by former central Texas mainstay Clay Blaker and released on his 1986 album Sooner Or Later. If my cloudy mind is right, Clay wrote this song after coming home from a gig and finding his house completely burglarized. The only thing he had left, was his partner and wife Allene and thats how one of the sweetest love songs was written. Clay left the music business and is now living on an island off Panama where he enjoys his first too loves - his wife Allene & surfing! Today I nominate Kimberly Cregger Moutes One song for 5 days.
