Day 10 - I am thankful for the leadership of Life Church. Five years ago when hurricane Ike came through Houston, my parents had some damage at their home. They were unable to clean up because of their health issues. Pastors Jim and Mike and Richard Russell showed up with their sons, Ben, Alexander and William in tow and worked until everything was completed. What makes this story even more remarkable is that my parents were not even members of Life Church at that time. How many pastors would humble themselves to be servants and, most especially of non-members? (Their pastor at that time didnt even call to check on their well-being). A church is only as strong as its leaders. Thank God for leaders who show Gods love for others through their selflessness.
