Day 10: #21DayGratitudeChallenge Today, I give thanks for kind older strangers. I typically, shop at Aldis once a week and load up for the family. Nearly every visit, I encounter an older person in line or looking at the produce who offers a tip or asks for help. I love talking with them. Today, a very kind lady told me where to get cheaper eggs and then suggested I try a pomegranate. She even told me how to cut it. I so enjoy talking with her and I cant help but wonder what her story is. She had a thick accent and I wonder where did she grow up? Maybe I enjoy talking with our older generation because they remind me of my grandmother who has passed on to heaven. Still, often when they are alone, I wonder how alone are they? I pray they have someone to connect with and that they feel the love of Jesus. Im grateful to be able to slow down and talk with them. Our older generation has so much to share with us.
