Day 11 in the Pediatric ICU. Yesterday (Day 10) the Doctors went over the results of the Echo, EKG, Cat Scan & Blood work... All came back normal and could not explain why Diesels Heart Rate Keeps Dropping. The medication they put him on to stabilize his Heart Rate was causing more of a issue so the Discontinued it, also The ENT team came to the Bedside to Scope Diesels Vocal Cords to see why they shut and caused him to go into Cardiac Arrest Last Time they took him off the vent. The Scope went well and the were able to see that Diesel has extreme Swelling around his Vocal Cords (which explains why they closed up) the ENT team & Diesels Care Team then decided to keep him off the Ventilator on a Trail Basis and see if he was ready. Diesel began having slightly labored breathing & as the night progressed it only got worse. So around 1:45 A.M Diesel had to be Re Intubated and put back on the Ventilator. The Care Team did a great job and other then the extremely Swollen Tissue there were no complications. Please continue to keep Our Sweet Angel Diesel Lee in your thoughts & prayers .
