Day 112 (2nd February 2014) reached Shirpur) in Maharastra. This morning when I came out of the hotel I was bit worried because it was too windy, but once I crossed the otherside of the Narmada river and the hill i.e. approx. 4kms, winds completely disappeared and was very happy but it didn’t last long as had 80kims of continuous climb and headwinds started at around 1.30pm onwards, very tired and just wanted to stop but somehow dragged myself to the destination. Definitely to mention is that the landscape throughout the route was very beautiful which reminded me riding in Ladkah, the only difference is it is not cold and size is small, it was indeed a feast to eyes, enjoyed it. I don’t know why in our schools it is never taught about central ghats, its only eastern and western ghats in the books, anyway now I have ridden and will continue for few more days in the central ghats, that make I have ridden almost all hills/mountains in India except those in northeast, which I hope to do this summer. Instead of making Aurangabad as south west end of the inner circle, I decided to ride further towards west and therefore will ride towards Nashik for the next 2 days which will mark as south west end of the inner circle. Tomorrow’s destination is Malegaon.
