Day 12 ~ Acceptance “To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.” [Thich Nhat Hanh] Why compare yourself with others? No one in the whole wide world can do a better job of being you than you. Be Mindful in the way you experience negative emotions. True mindfulness accepts the good and the bad equally. Next time you feel upset or sick, be kind to yourself and fully accept it as your present mental or physical condition. This mindful action is choosing to adopt an open, curious and accepting attitude with your experience. Use your silent observer with thoughts, emotions, urges and memories as they arise, even when they are unpleasant. Make a pact with yourself to validate, accept and love who you are. Even the yucky bits youd like to change. When you accept yourself the way you are right now, new possibilities in your life begin to surface. No longer will you have the fear of what people think. I believe the fear of what people think is the biggest fear in the world today. It stops multitudes of people from taking that first step on their road to fulfilling their purpose. By accepting where you are right now in your journey, leaves your mind open to new opportunities. When you struggle or try to get rid of mental or physical pain, you are closing down your mind and life will pass you by. Acceptance is a choice. Be Mindful!
