Day 13. Heading to Tanah Lot. I had my first sit down breakfast( Nasi Goreng) today while waiting for it to get light enough to start walking. I was also praying the rain would stop and thankfully it did. I had so many positives on my side, I knew this was going to be a good day. The biggest positive was that I conquered the worst road in Bali. Today when finished the last of it, it felt like the bus and truck drivers were on my side. There was no anger just encouraging shouts. I had my first break at 8:35 at Samsam Kerambitan. After the many hills this morning my foot needed re bandaging. Off again, now mainly in the full sun it as I start making my way through Pandak At the 22.2 km mark our rest stop by the side of the road where I feasted on delicious mango. Well rested I was walking through Pandak taking in all the beautiful traditional Bali that I know and love. The traditional houses, frangipanis, the traditional music and the wonderful smell if incense. I was totally wrap up in all of this when a massive clap of thunder bolted me back to life as well as every dog near me. I was terrified and jumped straight in the car. My fear of dogs is obviously still with me. Stepping up the pace somewhat until I reached the 30km mark at Tanah Lot, which makes 390km completed. I am now showered, fed and ready for a nice big sleep. Good night, Fi the Crazy Nomad.
