Day 14: Today Dad met with the nurse practitioner Elizabeth Marchand from Winthrop. He will be receiving Abraxane and Gemzar on Friday. 3 weeks on and 1 week off. This is a less harsh dose and should come with little side effects. It may resolve his need to get any further bikini waxing but that all gets fixed when chemo stops. Just like life we are taking this one week at a time. He will have blood and chemistry work done on the day of each infusion along with the tumor marker (CA-19-9) to track his progress. Hell get pre meds for nausea. Most professionals know little to nothing about alternative medicine but they do know that there isnt anything that will negatively impact chemo.
