REMINDER NOTICE: Tomorrow is HUMAN RIGHTS DAY: Re: March 21 is Beach Day [FREE TRAINS arranged!] Dear Comrades Please receive correspondence from our offices in relation to the Public holiday on March 21 2014. This public Holiday is an important opportunity for us to celebrate Human Rights in our country. In this beautiful City we have seen that families are fragmenting and becoming undone by the huge social pressures on them. This sense of marginalization is reinforced by the fact that the working families are largely excluded from going to visit the beauty spots of the City, due to expensive public transport. For many years now COSATU has been arranging FREE TRAINS on this day so that Families get to spend time together. The families are able to go out together and see the sights of the City, using the Metro Rail trains - free of charge. We also encourage teachers to take their learners out on the day! The Free Trains on this day can be used by all workers and their families to travel to and from any destination. The most popular event however, is the trip to Muizenberg, where people have been enjoying the day on the beach. We urge for cooperation between the Station personnel and our members and should there be any problems, kindly contact us for assistance at 021 448 0046 or 084 6447316. This event welcomes people who have difficulties to get out and about in this beautiful City, into the different sights of Cape Town. All you need to take up this opportunity is to have a copy of this letter with you, so that the station personnel can identify you as a COSATU recipient. One Letter applies for a group or family of Cosatu recipients. Members may also wear any Cosatu t-shirt for FREE access to the trains!
