Day 14 of our look at the 31 Days of Halloween, takes us to a performer, not known for his novelty work. Our artist today began playing and recording for acts such as Linda Ronstadt, Carly Simon, John Lennon, Roy Orbison and, many others. In 1975, he played most of the instruments on Art Garfunkels rendition of I Only Have Eyes For You. In 1977, he scored a #7 pop hit with Lonely Boy. The following year he hit the Top 30 again with Thank You For Being A Friend. The song became the theme for the popular television series Golden Girls, as performed by Cindy Fee. In 1996, Andrew Gold ventured in a different direction, when he put together a CD of Halloween songs, titled, Halloween Howls. This is one of those songs, Spooky Scary Skeletons. Tomorrow, well have dinner with a strange character ... you may want to look carefully at the menu.
