Day 15 started with a wake up call from the Doctor. Jareds peg (tube feed) had dislodged and he was heading to emergency surgery. Doc assured me this happens often and was a pretty routine procedure. Jared got through it just fine but had a slight fever and his heart rate was up throughout the afternoon. Soon everything stabilized and we had a very calm and positive evening. Lots of meaningful eye contact.. Jared truly is speaking through his eyes. These are the moments that warm our hearts. We may be ready to start rehabilitation and Jared should be moved as soon as Friday. Anxious to start the next chapter of #jaredsjourney
