Day 16: @Pray4Israel & @Pray4Tajikistan ISRAEL, MIDDLE EAST The United States government set a deadline of April, 2014 for a peace agreement between Israel and Palestine. According to Jon Alterman of the Mideast Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, “In the current environment, Israeli and Palestinian public both say they support peace, but neither thinks it is remotely possible to get a deal from the other side.” Ask the Lord to give all parties wisdom and discernment as the talks continue. Pray for peace in Israel and throughout the Middle East. Pray for many Israelis and Palestinians to believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord (The Bible, Psalm 122:6). TAJIKISTAN, CENTRAL ASIA The Tajikistan government is considering a new law which would limit the type of work children can do. It is a step toward preventing child labor and child exploitation. If passed, there will be tougher punishments for abusing children and both employers and parents can be punished for violating the law. Praise God for the Tajikistan government taking a stand against child labor. Ask the Lord to shield the children in Tajikistan from abuse and exploitation. Pray for Christian Believers to proclaim God’s Truth throughout this Asian nation (The Bible, Psalm 3:3).
